Children’s Summer Camp
Grades 2 – 9 as of fall 2012
August 6-10 &13-17
Be a part of this summer adventure as young performers discover fables from around the world and learn to create one of their own. Each day student will hear a fable from different country as they learn the fundamentals of theater. The camp will culminate with the students adapting or writing, and performing, a fable of their own.
Camp will be held in two sessions each day. The morning session will give an introduction to different parts of theater: Acting, Directing, The Stage, The Audience, Sets, and Costumes etc. The afternoon secession will go more in-depth on application of these aspects to the individual.
***All campers will participate in the final performance whether or not they attend both morning and afternoon sessions.
Cost is: $35 for morning session (9:30 – Noon) $ 50 for both secessions (9:30 – noon and12:30 – 3:00) Student will be given a break for lunch but will not be able to leave the theater.
Registration includes all workshop and performance fees, and a Cast Photo. T-Shirts and production DVD will be available for an additional cost. You will receive a confirmation packet once payment and registration is processed no later than July 20th. Registration begins May 21st with a final deadline of July 15th. Additional registrations may be accepted after this date, pending space availability. Limited scholarships and family discounts are available upon request.
